LAG ARTS 'THE FAME SCHOOL'

Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts also informally known as 'The Fame School' or LaG Arts is a high school specializing in teaching visual arts and performing arts, located near Lincoln CenterNew York City. 

 

The 1980 film Fame was based on student life at the School of Performing Arts prior to its merger into LaGuardia High School. A television series based on the film was launched in 1982 and a second film was made in 2009. It was also adapted as a stage musical which premiered in 1988.

Ben has served as choreographer and/or movement director on twelve full length productions. They include ​Let The right One In, Two Gentlemen of Verona, A Little Night Music42nd Street, GypsyLes MiserablesInto the WoodsCarouselUrinetownGreaseCabaret, & Guys & Dolls.
